Remote file access is just about what it sounds like: a service that permits you to entry your recordsdata anywhere, anytime and with no matter system you like, as long as you're linked to the Internet.

This is what we invented the Internet for in the primary place: to get at, share and collaborate on data at will (even when most of us will use it to share selfies, songs and cat movies). Ever since we stopped engaged on mainframes and switched to PCs, we have had to deal with the problem of accessing information from different places.
First, we wanted to convey work residence with us, or lug disks and phrase processors to distant conferences. Later, laptops, smartphones and consoles vastly elevated the portability of personal data, enabling us to take photos, videos and paperwork with us on planes or to the native espresso shop -- but we nonetheless needed to deal with swapping files manually over networks, disks or flash drives, worrying all the while about whether or not we had the proper version.
